The Sweetest Condition (2012-2016)

The Sweetest Condition (2012–2016) was a female-fronted industrial synthpop band based in Nashville, Tenn., featuring Leslie I. Benson (lyrics + vocals) and Jason Reed Milner (music + synths).

The band was known for blending iconic sounds of the ’80s and industrial muscle of the ’90s with cinematic soundscapes, deriving inspiration from Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, The Birthday Massacre and others.

After releasing their five-song EP, Truth & Light (see flier above), in April 2013, the duo moved from Indianapolis, Ind., to Nashville, Tenn., where they teamed up with sound engineer Joel Lauver of Burning Bridge Recordings to produce their debut full-length album, Edge of the World, which was released in August 2015.

The band’s most watched music video was “Watch You Fall” off their first album, “Edge of the World.” The song actually started long before the band transformed from Irene & Reed into The Sweetest Condition, sometime between 2010 and 2012.

A second full-length album, We Defy Oblivion, was released in November 2016. The Sweetest Condition also released music on compilation albums from E-Con Records, Conzoom Records, Electrozombies, Side-Line Music Magazine, and others.

Digital downloads are available on Bandcamp, iTunes, Amazon MP3 and other digital retail stores. Limited edition physical CDs are available on CD Baby.
