Jonn Nicholson – Keys, Backing Vocals

In August 2022, Jonn Nicholson joined God in Rehab as the keyboardist and backing vocalist.

Jonn has an extensive music career in the Nashville, TN, music community. He has not only worked for such iconic venues as the Exit/In, but he also serves as the frontman for the local Nine Inch Nails cover band, Not Your Nails.

As the founder of E.Y.E. Productions, he puts together and hosts major annual music events like Women to the Front (WTTF) and Industrial Night, which feature upwards of 50 Nashville musicians collaborating in various impromptu “bands” to perform one-off genre-specific or themed songs to help raise money and awareness for charities such as the YWCA of Nashville and MusiCares.

We’re excited to have him on board!

We can’t wait to start playing God in Rehab shows with this new lineup!

More About Jonn

Q. When did you first get into music?

A. I have been in music for a long time. I was classically trained in theater and musical theater and spent a lot of time in my young adulthood doing various plays and musicals. After returning to Nashville, I got into music after I realized how much I loved the scene and the people that I had met through shows and events I had attended.

Q. Who are your biggest influences?

A. Trent Reznor, Jonathan Davis, David Bowie, Maynard James Kennan, Gary Numan.

Q. Past music projects?

A. Other than being a part of many of Nashville’s jam nights, GiR and NYN are my first major music gigs.

Q. What do you look forward to in working with God in Rehab?

A. Exploring the realm of original music, getting to perform in a way that I haven’t gotten a chance to, and learning new skill sets.

Q. What’s one unique thing about you?

A. I dress like a pirate for the TN Ren Faire every spring.

Q. Your motto?

A. Don’t try to be the best, be yourself.
