LOCAL WRITING COLLABORATION:
In 2015, East Side Story published an anthology by Nashville-based authors. The book/CD combo is titled Based On: Words, Notes, and Art from Nashville.
On Monday, June 15, 2015, the community celebrated its release with a one-night release concert at Belmont University’s McAfee Concert Hall. The evening was hosted by Music City Roots’ Craig Havighurst and included performances by a majority of the contributing artists all to commemorate the launch of this unique project.
All proceeds from the book and event benefit the Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville.
More publishing projects are in the works for Nashville-based authors. In the meantime, you can purchase Based On: Words, Notes, and Art from Nashville at East Side Story in East Nashville.
