GX Magazine Named Finalist for Three Journalism Awards

GX magazine, an official publication of the U.S. Army National Guard, produced by the editorial and design team at iostudio in Nashville, Tenn., continues to excel in the publishing industry. Among the “top brass” of publishing minds, GX is well known and well respected, including by Dr. Samir Husni (mrmagazine.com), director of the University of Mississippi’s Magazine Innovation Center, and thought leaders from Hearst, Rodale and the Meredith Corp.

In circulation for 11 years, GX publishes six 108-page copies annually, which are distributed to 220,000 households—an audience of National Guard Soldiers and their families.

The National Guard Bureau most recently called upon GX to provide editorial content about the Guard’s capability to handle a crisis (such as Ebola), relying on our accurate, effective and quality content, thereby educating the media about complex subjects.

I’m grateful to work with the creative minds at iostudio on this publication. Our writers, designers and fellow editors have helped make these accomplishments possible.

GX is the most awarded military magazine today. Here are the awards we’ve been named finalist for so far this year:
